Good Boy, a thriller directed by former McNeese State film professor Patrick Roddy, written by Moss Bluff native Ken Henderson, and starring Louisiana born and raised actor Josh Marcantel and scream queen Tiffany Shepis, is now available on Video On Demand.
Most of the cast and crew are from Southwest Louisiana. Lead actor Marcantel is a DeQuincy native who recently appeared in Law & Order: SVU.
Good Boy is the story of a young man who steals money from his work and starts heading to California in order to escape his monotone life. But it doesn’t take long before he runs into a not so good boy who drags him into a depraved and sadistic world of crime.

The film won a prestigious Award of Excellence from the Accolade Competition. Marcantel, who plays the lead, Max, also won an Award of Merit for his performance. Roddy won an Award of Merit for direction. The film was an official selection at the Arizona International Film Festival, the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival, and the Santiago (Chile) International Film Festival.
