The Threadhead Cultural Foundation presents Flood Streets, a film screening and benefit concert for musicians’ healthcare, featuring performances by Panorama Jazz Band and the Russian mafia band Debauche.
The event will take place tomorrow, Wednesday the 18th, at 7pm at the Republic in New Orleans. $20 tickets gets you two bands, the movie, a raffle ticket, and the premiere screening of a very funny short by local filmmakers. Tickets available at the door the day of the event starting at 6:30pm or in advance here.
Flood Streets, a grassroots New Orleans indie feature from executive producer Harry Shearer, has been an audience and critical hit on the festival circuit, winning many awards including best Louisiana narrative feature at the New Orleans Film Festival. Shearer will make an appearance at the benefit tomorrow night, giving a special introduction to the movie.
