With the influx of film production going on around the state, it is more important than ever that we recognize the contributions that Louisiana has made to the global production industry.
It is with this in mind that Ed and Susan Poole invite you to a presentation on Louisiana’s film history on Wednesday, February 15, at 7pm. The FREE one-hour PowerPoint presentation, to be held at the West Bank Regional Library in Jefferson Parish, will be followed by an exhibit and Q&A session.
The presentation is based on the Pooles’ latest reference book, Hollywood on the Bayou. The book documents 1,170 films made in or about Louisiana, with the intent to help bring more attention to Louisiana films and the need for film and accessory preservation. The presentation is open to the public.
Ed and Susan Poole are film accessory researchers who preserve and document film history through the accessories before they are lost forever. You can see some of their work at LearnAboutMoviePosters.com, MoviePosterDataBase.com, and GlobalCinemaResearch.org.
