La Film Workshops, LLC offers informative, hands-on workshop events, each focused on a single aspect of production such as Screenwriting, Directing, Camera, Lighting or Editing. That is, until now!
LAFW’s newest event will combine Camera, Lighting and Sound into one workshop so intense it can only be described as a “boot camp”! LAFW’s Video Production Boot Camp will feature a short classroom lecture on Friday, December 2, beginning at 6pm, then a full day of putting that information to work beginning Saturday morning, December 3.
“This is a hands-on workshop,” explains LAFW founder Chuck Bush. “Not only will we discuss lighting, but the participants will actually set up the lights! And the same for the camera and sound!” Bush will use a “team” approach to the bootcamp much like an actual production. That means each participant will put their hands on a professional camera, professional lighting and professional sound gear.
“We will also create a studio interview set and a location set so that our participants have the broadest production experience we can offer!” adds Bush. “And we are going to pull out the same gear that we have used on films, reality TV programs and commercials!”
Class size will be very limited so that everyone will have immediate access to gear and not have to stand around and wait.
