New Orleans Video Access Center (NOVAC) will be holding an intensive green screen workshop on Saturday, December 10, at 9th Ward Studios.
Green-screen techniques are becoming more prevalent in today’s film production experience, even the indie. Green Screen Pop-Up is a one-day intensive look into just what is required to take advantage of this technology and how to avoid the pitfalls and mistakes that many green screen greenies sometimes fall into. This workshop will include both lecture and hands-on demonstrations.
Taught by seasoned Visual Effects and Compositing Supervisor and LSU Shreveport Visual Effects Instructor, Johnathan Miralles (Harry Potter, Order of the Phoenix), Green Screen Pop-Up will provide you with the basic theory behind green screen techniques and will cover topics like lighting for green screen, choosing the right keying process for your film, green vs. blue screens, various screen and rigging approaches and more.
